An overall structure is essential to allow a client to feel safe. The therapy must fit you.
Integrative therapy uses concepts, skills or techniques from different sources but you must feel happy with the way we choose to work and to feel which way is right for you.
Your issues are tackled systematically, with you choosing which is the priority issue you want to deal with. We will spend plenty of time reviewing your progress and checking if we are still on track by exploring the changes which are taking place and how they relate to where you wish to be moving to on your journey in life.
An overall structure is important but one which incorporates flexibility. The therapy must fit you as I come from a person centred approach. Research indicates that the most probable factors determining a successful outcome to therapy are the personal qualities of both me and you the client and the relationship between us, rather than the particular approach used.
